To implement the important instruction by President Xi Jinping on maintaining the stability and smooth flow of the global industrial chain and supply chain, CCPIT held the 1st China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing from 28 November to 2 December 2023. Premier Li Qiang attended the opening ceremony of the First CISCE and the Global Supply Chain Innovation and Development Forum and delivered a keynote speech. As the world's first national-level exhibition focusing on supply chain, the 1st CISCE, with the theme of "Connecting the World for a Shared Future", has effectively promoted the connection between the upstream, midstream and downstream industries, the integration of large, medium and small-sized enterprises, the synergy of industry, academia, research and application, and the interaction between Chinese and foreign enterprises, and realized its four major functions, namely, trade promotion, investment cooperation, innovation gathering and learning and exchange, which made the CISCE a new window for the opening up of China to the world, a new platform for the new pattern of development, a new carrier for an open world economy, and a new practice for a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind. 515 enterprises and agencies both from China and abroad took part in the exhibition, and overseas exhibitors accounted for 26% of all exhibitors, covering 55 countries and regions. 150,000 people visited the exhibition, including more than 80,000 buyers and professional visitors.
The 2nd CISCE is scheduled to be held at Shunyi Pavilion of China International Exhibition Center in Beijing from 26th to 30th November, 2024. It will set up six major chain zones, namely, advanced manufacturing chain, clean energy chain, intelligent automotive chain, digital science and technology chain, healthy life chain and green agriculture chain, and the supply chain service zone, and will organize thematic forums, and more supporting activities, such as investment promotion, supply-demand docking and new product release.
