The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is envisioned, proposed, deployed and promoted by President Xi Jinping and is the world’s first import-themed national exhibition. Since it was first held in 2018, the CIIE has given full play to its role as the platform for international procurement, investment promotion, people-to-people exchanges, and openness and cooperation. The CIIE connects China and the world by sharing opportunities from China’s super huge market. Over the past six years, over 180 countries, regions and international organizations participated in the CIIE. The CIIE has already become a window for China to build a new development paradigm, a platform for promoting high-level opening up and an international public product shared by the world, making positive contributions to the recovery of the world economy and building an open world economy. The 7th CIIE will be held in Shanghai from 5th to 10th November, 2024, featuring the Comprehensive Country Exhibition, the Enterprise & Business Exhibition, and Hongqiao International Economic Forum, etc., under the theme of “New Era, Shared Future”. We welcome German enterprises and business associations to actively sign up for the Expo.
The Comprehensive Country Exhibition (Country Exhibition), as an important part of the CIIE, functions as a globally shared public product by building a platform for all participating countries to display their comprehensive national image and carry out economic and trade talks and international exchanges and cooperation, further expanding the space of exhibition at the CIIE. Over the past six years, Country Exhibition has attracted a total of 142 countries and international organizations, including a number of developing countries and least developed countries. 69 countries and 3 international organization participated in the 6th Country Exhibition. Country Exhibition has effectively promoted the bilateral trade exchanges and people-to-people exchanges, and become a vivid example of how China practices the concept of building a community of shared future. The 7th Country Exhibition will continue with Pavilions for Guest Countries and the China Pavilion. All participating countries can display their comprehensive national image, e.g. trade, investment environment, culture and tourism, key enterprises, and achievements of their cooperation projects in China at the Country Exhibition, and carry out economic and trade talks and international exchange activities.
